My view about the nursing career is that it is a profession that is client centered. I believe this, because it is in the best interest of the nurse to see and help the client get healthier. There are many physical and emotional problems that arise when a client comes into a hospital, and it is required that nurses are there to help a client attend to those problems. Nurses need to develop a bond with their client, so that the client will provide information to the nurse that may help in the healing process. While nursing is client centered it also is a profession that requires critical thinking at all times.
Personal Goals
- During the next 5 years, I would like to be working and mastering my skills as an RN in the emergency department.
- In 5 years, I would like to be working on obtaining a masters degree.
